What in the Hole is this?

Welcome to Hole started life as a playthrough of the table top role-playing game Monster of the Week before morphing into a pilot script, a 12 episode written series and finally, a fully-recorded audio production.

It tells the tale of three unique men, all of them well past their prime, and a magical little girl who are stationed in the desert town of Hole. They're there to track monsters, solve mysteries and defeat evil and with a new creepy crawly every week, they've got their work cut out for them.

But... How? If not why? And aslo... who?

Welcome to Hole's creators met as improvisers in London's live comedy scene a decade ago before endeavouring on a friendship of shared hobbies and creative passions. The group started this particular game amidst the COVID 19 pandemic and wrapped in 2021, but Game Master, Kate O, couldn't let it rest. By revisiting her notes, and the frankly much more detailed notes of the players, Kate started to conceptualise an audio drama version of the story, one that the group could write and produce themselves.

They gathered their diverse and ample creative skillsets and formed a writer's room, which met weekly and broke the story down into 40 minute audio scripts. They then assembled as a cast and with additional acting talent, recorded the show in studio before editing and releasing the final product.
